Like in the speech-to-text and text enrichment feature, which uses a dental-specific language model to transcribe and enhance medical speech and standardize notes into the SOAP structure (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan). This improves the quality of notes and reduces time spent on documentation.
Another area where FFD enhances the clinical experience with AI is Perio charting. Traditionally, practitioners had to follow rigid voice commands or rely on an assistant to record probing results.
With FFD’s perio experience, clinicians can dictate exams naturally, without needing predefined commands or training. This functionality utilizes natural voice interaction and AI to understand the “intent” of the provider followed by a visual result on the display. Users will be able to speak freely during the exam, even while talking to the patient, and the system will pick up only the clinically relevant input, ignoring casual conversation. No need for structured (robotic-like) commands or a second person to assist with manual data entry. The result: less time on admin, more time with patients.
